1. This product is designed to fit 10 to 15cm gutters which would be true if your shingles/tar paper are not already firmly attached to each other and to the roof but in my case it was them I had to cut 2" across the full width of each gutter profile piece to accommodate my 4" gutters and sealed roofing material! 2. The product was said to withstand "light snow"; To aid in winter drainage, prior to installation I removed the fabric netting covering the plastic netting the full length of all tread sections. I installed gutter guards last summer and thought my problems were over. The gutter guard worked great in the fall keeping leaves and debris in the gutters. Now the winter is coming. Although the fabric mesh was removed from the plastic mesh, the white gutter guards collected enough snow to block enough runoff from the roof in sunny but sub-zero weather. Conditions that they build an ice dam. This caused the water/ice to retreat up the slope and under the gravel. Luckily I noticed this fairly early in the winter, but I still had to lug a ladder through the snow and cold around the house to remove each section of gutter step I painstakingly installed last summer! How painful! What a waste of time and money? Do not buy this product if you live in a winter area. When they say it can handle light snow, they mean an area where temperatures don't stay below freezing for long.
