Total revelation, this is my first keg. I just got carried away by the moonlight and am already sick of the bottles. So I thought why not smoke. It's good value for money, and since I usually only brew 1 gallon of beer, it's perfect for my needs. I drank my Chocolate Stout the other day and it went straight into the keg. I hit 20psi in a keg and it's been in the fridge ever since. It should be fizzy by evening, just in time for the dinner beer. Cons: Faucet is VERY irritable. I don't think it's normal, but tapping on that sucker is tricky as everyone gets off. Make sure you slide it all the way back in before opening the CO2 or you'll be cleaning up a mess. Do not ask. That's a little higher than I would like. It fits in the fridge but I had to take out the shelves to put this suction cup in, so not great if you only have 1 fridge and want a faucet and CO2 on it. Advantages: It has a small diameter and is easy to fill. The holes in the tip are more than enough for your stick, and if you shine your flashlight in, you can stop the flow in time to make room for CO2. It's easy to use. As I said, I'm a beginner and it was very easy for me to figure out and set up. Clean all that crap, disinfect, disinfect, then disinfect again and you'll be fine. Overall I think this is a great little keg. If you're brewing in small batches or just want to take out a gallon, this seems like a pretty good deal. TO UPDATE. Added image for size reference. I poured my beer straight from fermentation into this keg. After about a week at 20 psi it carbonizes. You have to test it for the first few days to make sure it stays at 20psi, but it works. A supply pressure of 5 is very important for my beer, the result is half a beer by half. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and will likely purchase another one.
