Since it was my first time installing something like this, it was very easy. Programming is also easy. Insert the batteries and follow the instructions and it's ready to use. We just traded a toy tractor for a Landmark with ALL the living space. The Toy Hauler had a remote controlled lock. We were spoiled for it so I had to put one in the Landmark. We love it. Good product.
