Review on Long-lasting, Energy-efficient Halogen JC Type Light Bulb Set - 12 pcs, G4 Base, 12V, 20W by Colleen Bolden

UPDATE 11/30/14 The last of the 12 bulbs just burned out. Two of the 12 lamps were found defective immediately after unpacking (continuity also tested). So 10 bulbs lasted about 33 months (almost 3 years; I estimate 4000-5000 hours) of use. Price 5€, shipping included. By the way, I didn't touch the bulb with my bare hand when installing it. I just ordered more bulbs but this time from another 10 bulb manufacturer for $6 with prime shipping. Let's see how it works. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- I decided to write a review after replacing the first bulb. And I just replaced the first bulb after about 6 months - I estimate 900-1000 hours (but not 2500 hours as the packaging says). But I bought 12 bulbs for $5 (including free shipping). Doing the math (and extrapolating) gives about 11,000 light hours for $5. As opposed to 2,500 hours for $7 (plus gas) if I bought a single bulb from a local hardware store (assuming it actually lasts that long, of course). So overall I think it's still a pretty good deal!
