I ordered it in mid-October 2011 and immediately installed the first bulb in my table lamp. It blew up last night when I tried to turn it on. It's certainly better than the few days some people state in their reviews, but it's a lot shorter than what I'm used to from halogen bulbs. The last bulb I bought for this lamp lasted over 18 months, not just 5. On the other hand, that single bulb also costs about the same as this 12 pack. UPDATE 11/30/14 The last of the 12 bulbs just burned out. Two of the 12 lamps were found defective immediately after unpacking (continuity also tested). So 10 bulbs lasted about 33 months (almost 3 years; I estimate 4000-5000 hours) of use. Price 5€, shipping included. By the way, I didn't touch the bulb with my bare hand when installing it.
