The high speed fan problem has been completely fixed. I'm not a mechanic and just removed the old resistor and just installed the new one. The whole process took about 15 minutes. I watched a youtube video of someone else replacing a resistor before doing it myself and it was very easy. TO UPDATE. This part failed again after 10 months. This part is designed to fail if there is a problem elsewhere in the system. There was a 2009 TSB and some early 2010 models for failed blower units. If you have replaced this resistor and it occurs again, you should try replacing the fan (in addition to this part). Revain sells an exact fit replacement (TYC 700247 Honda Fit Replace Blower Assembly) that costs about $150 less than the OEM Honda. Replacing both fans is easier than replacing this resistor, which itself is simple. It only took me 20 minutes yesterday to swap them both out and I'm not an experienced mechanic.
