Ok, listen. I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this remote control. (Had to be replaced when the remote that came with my TV flooded.) I have a SMALL living room (max distance from TV 9ft) and I don't have anything blocking the TV or IR receiver. , so I shouldn't have had any issues using this remote even based on the reviews. But even when I sat 4 feet away, half the time there was no response or communication between my Sharp Roku Smart TV and this remote. It even looks cheap. I took out the batteries and my 9 month old son has a new toy. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Roku has an official app that you can download and use as a remote (I have an iPhone 11) and it works GREAT. I would have saved myself this waste of money if I had known this beforehand. If you don't buy an official Roku remote, just download and use the app because it's MUCH better than this piece of junk. (And arguably better than the basic Roku remote.)
