This HDMI splitter is very easy to use and generally worth the price. It sends a reliable signal that matches the source, but the main problem is that it does a little editing of the video in the process. This is an active splitter that is required for the HDMI signal to work. The splitter can simply pass the signal intact. It's displayed as a 4K monitor from the source, so inputting a smaller signal produces a softer, processed image. It's okay, but it's obvious to me. It might have been better to choose a different option for a 1080p or 2560x1440p clone. While this isn't for everyone, I think this will work in many situations for something like a studio monitor or cloned displays.
