Bought to improve the air handling of my airbrushes. Sometimes I have to use very low air pressure. My compressor regulator could not be consistently adjusted below 10psi. I bought the 3 to 30 psi version and placed it downstream of the air compressor regulator. I positioned it to be handy while painting. It works great at ultra low pressure with my 0.2mm airbrush. If you're buying it for this purpose, be aware that you may have trouble finding the right adapter. I had to adapt the 1/4" female NPT thread on the regulator to the 1/8" BSP thread used by Iwata and many other airbrushes. So I needed an adapter from 1/4" NPT male to 1/8" BSP male. After 2 hours of research on the internet. I decided that nobody makes such an adapter. I ordered several adapters 1/4" BSP male x 1/8" BSP male. The 1/4" BSP threads are close enough that you can put about 3 threads in the regulator and maybe seal it with more teflon tape. . I was able to fully engage the threads but it still took a few turns of teflon tape to achieve a good seal. The install on my system was PITA but it was worth it.
