So I bought these in May thinking I'd like some basic pliers for the house. Of course I had them in my closet and haven't used them since the day I bought them. I used them today and noticed that the surface of a tool I have not used has worn away. Below is poor quality metal and outside is poorly plated metal which I believe is nickel. I wasn't expecting high quality or durability from the tools, but I did expect the tools not to deteriorate before use. I would honestly buy the dollar store equivalent for them. The pens are good but I didn't spend that much money on a comfortable grip, I had some expectation of quality. If you're looking for something other than a paperweight, look elsewhere.
