Review on Dorman 419 102 Chevrolet Automatic Tensioner by Christopher Theriault
Just because it doesn't look like the original hardware doesn't mean it won't work.
It cost a fifth less than the original packaging and was probably easier to install. It's amazing how much quieter the engine sound is now. I suspect the noise is related to the valve train.
