This isn't the size I expected (reason for 3 stars) so I'm disappointed. It's very thin, more like a thread, doesn't stretch. I made wraps to the WPI inch to find out the size. It is 18.5. wpi. This is close to fingering weight or below. That's about half the weight you would normally use to make kitchen towels. Well if that's what you're looking for. The color I bought is a soft red. Looking at the photo I was hoping for a dusty rose. It's a little darker. Like a rose, but definitely not red. So I'm fine with the color. Maybe I'll try two strands to get closer to sports weight. The photo shows me holding it next to the kitchen towel twine. I use it double threaded and it's close to my sport measure although it's still light. Have fun with Sue
