Review on Lindys 47444 Stainless Kettle 7 Quart by Monique Johnson

I had high hopes for this kettle but I was very disappointed. This kettle is made in China and looks very cheap. After examining it, I noticed from the inside what appeared to be a black deposit inside the spout where it was welded to the teapot. I took a flashlight and looked at the outside of the spout and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the weld. The metal is clearly discolored and pitted with rust; almost looks like rust. The bottom line is that the workmanship is poor and, even at a low price, there is no comparison to other kettles in this price range. I didn't use it and immediately requested a refund. Anyone else think it's crazy that you can't find a decent kettle that isn't made in China and doesn't cost a fortune? SMX
