Good quality: Kettle

Very well made and well polished stainless steel. We put it on our wood stove to evaporate the distilled water and bring moisture into our home. Even after all winter of use, it still looks like new. Very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • A little over
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Last teapot I have to buy

THIS is a serious teapot! I had a small base of big lots and was constantly replenishing them. I went for a bigger one and I'm very glad I went for this one! I make sweet tea, no problem, with plenty of water left over for hot chocolate, tea, ramen noodles, whatever. It's well made and I don't expect to ever have to buy another kettle. It's big and FUNCTIONAL! Fast delivery and quality is everything. Highly recommended.

The best teapot! for dishes

The Best! This has to be the best kettle I've ever bought. The lid is hermetic, including vapor tight. The grip gets warm but not hot at all. The handle is easy to grip with bare hands, stays in place when pouring, and doesn't drip from the funnel. And good quality stainless steel. I just love it. It's a bit big as it holds 5 1/4 liters but fits well on my gas range. I put it on the stovetop of my wood stove and drink hot water for tea all day. Love it!

Great kettle, worth every penny

I've used this 3 times and I love it! Although you can't fill it all the way to the top (the spout is in the middle of the kettle), it still holds twice as much water as my previous kettle. Looks great on my stove. The only thing I'm missing is the whistle, but I knew it wasn't there when I bought it, so it's all good. I remind everyone that you move the steam hole to the side and not directly under the handle. I'm sure it's common sense, but I didn't fully wake up the first time I used it. :)

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • The list will be long.

If you are tired of waiting for your tea/coffee water to boil

I seem to have finally found the perfect kettle for my needs. Its seamless stainless steel construction eliminates potential areas of corrosion (welds) below the water inlet pipe, and it's huge! A refill in the morning provides hot water for tea and instant coffee for two or three people in my shop all day. Fifteen minutes on high power (gas stove) and boils. After that I placed it on a heat-dissipating stove over the lowest gas flame. That's all for the rest of the day! What an improvement…

  • Same as all
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Black sediment in the water after several boils, unusable.

I must have gotten a lemon or something, I was going to love this kettle but on the first boil I noticed a lot of black flaky sediment in my water, after the fourth boil the sediment was still there and no better either after 4 large boils and douching. Upon further examination, the spout's sweat area was covered with a black residue that drained into the water. Even after thorough cleaning with a sponge (as far as I could use a sponge to clean) it still left a black residue. This shouldn't…

Disappointment / poor quality

I had high hopes for this kettle but I was very disappointed. This kettle is made in China and looks very cheap. After examining it, I noticed from the inside what appeared to be a black deposit inside the spout where it was welded to the teapot. I took a flashlight and looked at the outside of the spout and was extremely disappointed with the quality of the weld. The metal is clearly discolored and pitted with rust; almost looks like rust. The bottom line is that the workmanship is poor and…
