does the work for the air intake

This K&N makes an awesome sound when you step on the gas pedal. It's a nice deep growl, but at idle you don't have any extra noise. Installing it on a 5 year old Explorer wasn't difficult, although one of the brackets was difficult to understand. The entire installation only took about an hour.

Pros

BETTER TOWING: Improves acceleration and climb performance when towing with improved throttle response.
