I bought this tray for my 8 week old kitten. It was small enough that I didn't want it difficult to get in and out of the tray. It worked fine for 3-4 weeks. When he was about 3 months old, he got too big for it. He will enter it twice and it will be full. I ended up buying a Petsmart top lid litter box (this also discouraged my dog). Overall not a bad box but you will be able to use it for a very short time. And don't even try to get more than one kitten/cat. An adult cat would be too big for this box.
