Review on 🧢 Prym Ergonomics 8-Inch Double-Point Knitting Needle, Size 7 (5-Pack): Superior Comfort for Seamless Knitting Projects by Denise Davis

Innovative tip and shaft

I am a professional knitting teacher and designer. In general, I'm not a fan of plastic knitting needles. In general, I prefer pointed metal with a square cross-section. Great is different. Yes, they're plastic, so they're not as pretty as metal or wood furniture. But they are easy. And most importantly, they are thought through down to the smallest detail. The tip of the lightbulb looks a bit like a bowling pin. If you've ever dropped stitches off a double-ended needle when it was tucked in your pocket, you'll appreciate the shape of the tip. Stitches move where you want and stay where you want. The 20 cm (8 inch) length gives you plenty of room to work and extra needle length to keep stitches on needles where they need to be. The long length is also convenient for the sample as it can hold a 6 inch sample. The center of the bar is somewhat triangular in cross-section. Many people, myself included, find needles easier to hold when they are triangular, square, or hexagonal rather than cylindrical. No "dead grip". I bought Prym double ended knitting needles just to try it out. I liked them so much that I decided to buy a set of each size. The size is clearly marked on the shaft. (Although I would have preferred if the manufacturer had color coded each size to make it even easier to tell them apart and to have both metric and US sizing information.) All Prym needles (straight, double pointed, circular) are in order. Choice for beginner knitters as I think the shape of the tip will help. It is not expensive. It makes a good stocking for the holidays. Definitely worth trying.
