Before that, there were different PremiumContact (2 and 5) on different machines, and always only positive feelings. Winter VikingContact 7 and TS860 are also flawless. But the 6th year contact is somehow below expectations. 215/65 16 on xc70. For 2 seasons and about 40 thousand mileage, wear is almost to the indicators (1-1.5 mm higher than TWI). On 2 wheels, wear to the aquaplaning indicator (a drop of water on the sidewall). Moreover, the wear is uniform, both on the front and on the rear axle. Whether it's all-wheel drive (although it is not permanent), or in the highway run at high speed, or in the predominantly full load of the car. No complaints for the first season. On the second one, they started to make more noise, they were balanced worse, vibration appeared at high speed (balancing did not help, it went away after changing shoes for a winter set). There are no complaints about handling. They brake and accelerate great. Traction in the transverse direction is good. "Volkost" is not too pronounced, despite the high profile and soft sidewall. As others have pointed out, this is a great rubber for great roads. On rough roads, it's harsher and noisier than you'd expect. I can’t write down wear and tear as shortcomings, this is a consequence of excellent grip properties.
