First impression: This is good value for money. The screen is sharp and bright. GB, GBA and NES games run without problems. Genesis/MD games run almost flawlessly. I experienced some slowdown when a large number of objects appeared on the screen at once. To be fair, I kind of remember this happening on the Genesis as well. SNES emulation is questionable. I played Super Mario All Stars. Even in the menu there were slowdowns. It was so serious that it influenced the music. It could just be a bad ROM. I played F Zero and it handled it with no issues. I'm not familiar with many games on original hardware, so I can't be the best judge. Arcade emulation is very well implemented on this console. It comes with a bunch of Neo Geo games preinstalled, all of which are fun to play. Downloading and installing other MAME ROMs can be a daunting task. With the included mini-USB cable, you can charge the system, download data, or both. So it's easy to add new photos, videos, music, e-books or games without removing the included SD card.
