Not sure what to say about the other positive reviews here, this item sucks. It feels cheap, the motors feel jerky and it just doesn't sharpen a pencil in a usable way. I've tried different pens and you can feel the motors moving and not sharpening evenly around the tip. This means all of my pencils had wood on one side around the tip making them completely unusable. every time Too easy. You must sharpen and hold it with both hands as the motor torque rotates and moves the device. It is good that it can be powered by batteries because the power connector is a horizontal USB connector. Measured, with the bend in the cable protruding 3.5 inches from the wall. It's a desktop device and I can't connect it to my desk. Sorry to be so negative but I'm bringing this back thinking it's worth sharing the experience. The positive reviews convinced me to ignore the low price, but you really do get what you pay for.
