Can't say much about this product but it definitely does what it's supposed to do. It opens and closes easily and I don't see any mechanical issues so far. Cleaning is a bit of a hassle as will any steamer or any metal appliance with holes in it, but run it in the top rack of the dishwasher and it's clean enough. If you clean it immediately after use, it will be much easier. I like silicone feet because they won't scratch my pans and they're temperature resistant so there's no asymmetric heat conduction, but it's too technical for a vegetable cooker. I got him to steam veggies and he does. So all around me five stars.
