I really wanted to like it. I've been using an old fashioned gravel vacuum for years and it's a nuisance to use and you can't do it without draining the water. It seemed to be the answer. He used my cleaning filter, how great! This thing. It works, but there are serious problems. - Wait, this hose will bend and you will lose strength. If the filter is on the right or left side, you will not be able to vacuum that side of the tank without much difficulty. 3) The suction cups that hold the filter cartridge in the tank are designed exactly the opposite of what they should be. . I mean, the way the tabs on the rubber suction cups snap will cause the entire mechanism to *fall* out of your tank, which can result in a catastrophic leak. 4) It's a good idea, but its complexity combined with the awful design makes it much more difficult and dangerous to use than a typical gravel vacuum. I regret buying this. Two stars because the suction is pretty good when it works and it's a cool idea. However, it's so tedious to do a job that's nowhere near worth the price they're asking.
