This light should be permanently installed on my child's bike. The main function of the flashlight is to emit light is unreliable. I rode behind my child and watched him carefully. I've tested all modes (solid and flashing) and found that the light only stays on (most of the time) in steady mode. Flashing modes are extremely unreliable - after turning on, it burns less than a minute and turns off. It rarely turns on (the "brake function" I suspect), but dozens of cars drive by and the light is off, which is unacceptable. The mount has an unsuccessful design - it should stick to the seat tube and the light should go into the strap. Because the band has no hard plastic part, it's like threading a bobby pin behind a rubber band. If you need to remove the flashlight (charging or anti-theft), you'd better remove the whole bracket. Both the battery and mount don't matter if you can't rely on the lights being on, so I wouldn't recommend this product.
