I bought this unit thinking it would help me get rid of a lot of film I had in stock but after I scanned a few photos I realized something was wrong. I saw the images were cropped and decided to check how much of the original image I had lost, so I tried all the modes to get the full size. I was able to scan full size in slide mode, but of course all the colors are inverted. When comparing both photos I noticed that too much is cropped. I'm posting 3 images of the same photo shot on 135 film. First you see an image scanned in negative mode 135 (the one that should work), then the same image scanned in slide mode 135 and finally an image on top of each other, so you can see what part of the image is being cropped. After learning about the problem I naturally contacted the manufacturer to see if it was just a software issue or if I got a defective device, but after writing a few messages I was simply told that I could return the goods. Customer service was some of the worst I have ever dealt with and their product does not work as advertised. I would advise you not to waste your time and money on this product.
