I've been fortunate to have many good knives to try. This is my favorite ever. I have small hands, 5ft 1in and have no problem using this knife. Excellent balance. I have no problem with the knife slipping off. After hand washing I dry it and put it on a magnet. I've been using this knife all the time since I bought it. Approximately 2+ years. I have previously owned Wüsthof, JA Henckels and other high quality German knives which I found to be heavier and less well balanced. For me the best kitchen knife. anyway - I really LOVE IT. Before I bought it from Amazon I looked at a few knives at several local knife stores. This one wasn't recommended to me, but when I found it and researched it, I decided to buy it and I have no regrets, it's worth every penny and I recommend it - of course, try it out first to see if it suits you (if you can, you can go to a knife shop ).
