my mother gave me this kettle a few years ago. It was Gevalia's promotion that she received with the tea. I've used it *DAILY* for a few years. Pros: Water boils quickly. The whistle is just right, not too loud and not too soft. If you leave water in it for a long time, it may rust. Do not raise the temperature above average and you will extend the life of this kettle. I accidentally put my kettle that was too hot on a cheap trivet and melted the trivet onto the bottom. I looked everywhere and finally found that Revane was wearing this. So I bought it hoping it would be exactly the same and it is! It still has great quality and a quick cook time. I've been using it daily again for several months and it's still in perfect condition!
