This tool did the job I bought it for. Mini Cooper drives well. However, next time I'll probably spend the extra money on a tool that can be trusted a little more. The first part of the jig, which holds the exhaust camshaft in place, fits snugly on either side of the cylinder block. However, when I installed the second part securing the intake camshaft, the threaded bolts at the junction of the two parts did not fit properly. The exhaust side had to be braced to allow the bolt to go in, leaving a 2-3mm gap between the bottom of the tool and the engine block. I don't think there should be any kind of gap and I was concerned that it might affect the timing. But as I said, the machine works perfectly. I would like a quality tool to compare.
