I bought this to set up a high quality Zoom room separate from my office (where I use a Magewell capture card) so that my wife and I could host conferences at our respective companies in our house can hold offices. when locking. I hooked it up to a mini pc and the HDMI output of one of my Sony E mount cameras, it worked flawlessly. No software was required to get the camera up and running, but it was able to adjust the image and settings like a more expensive competitor. However, it works great with OBS and you can use this software to customize anything you want. It gets warm but not hot like the Magewell and appears to draw less power and is less picky about the USB connection. This is a great buy and I recommend it if you want to turn your camera into a professional looking webcam.
