If your transmission is making a grinding noise when you step on the clutch then it is most likely yours Fault. It hurts because you have to pull the entire transmission and clutch pressure plate, but if you're mechanically inclined you can do it in your garage with the car on jack stands. There I recommend replacing the slave cylinder or at least for the Tick Remote Clutch SPEEDBleeder. If you've ever had to bleed a clutch, you know how painful it can be. Also, to pull this thing out, go to your local auto parts store and rent their "Blind Hole Puller". They take a deposit but you get it all back when you return it. When using a bearing puller, do not overtighten in the bearing, only tighten enough to pinch the bearing. If you tighten it, you'll never get it out. Once you are ready to put a new one in, take a large socket, place the flat end over the bearing and gently tap it in as straight as possible with a small sledgehammer. Try not to make it crooked, otherwise it will be much more difficult.
