I've been looking for a stainless steel steamer set for a long time. I have used this many times now so this review will be accurate. I have a gas stove, I'm 70 years old. After lots of vaping I have NO traces of flame/heat on the bottom of the pot. I have no flame/heat marks on the sides of the bottom pan. After first use I noticed marks/stains on the inside of the bottom pan so I mixed some white vinegar with some water, warmed up and they were gone. Didn't use washcloths. So now I do it every third time I use it. I'll just wash it another time. Always comes out. I cook steamed vegetables and frozen chicken. I buy fried chicken, then I cut it up and freeze it. This steamer keeps my chicken moist. I've even steamed my potatoes and they're great. I cook veggies etc over low heat until I push with a wooden spoon and they fall apart. Now I'm getting rid of my microwave. Always cleans, lid always cleans, filter always cleans. So I am happy with this product. By the way, the handle is welded, not riveted.
