These brackets are ideal for Deco equipment as they offer a fairly tidy look whilst hiding the extra power cord inside the unit. I was able to install the device by simply plugging the assembled device into a wall outlet. You don't really need them if you're going to place your Deco unit on a desk or table, but I haven't had a good spot to put it somewhere that has better Wi-Fi coverage without these devices. Cosmetically they are not beautiful. but very functional. They are slightly larger than the original Deco and in this case appear a bit more imposing. TP-link have designed attractive Deco units for the table and I use the smaller version of Deco on tables etc elsewhere. You sacrifice design when you hang them in an aftermarket case.
