Review on Mopar 68235275AB Fuel Filter: Superior Filtering Efficiency for Enhanced Fuel Performance by Tony Trotter

This is a new upgraded fuel filter for 14-18 (maybe 19) Ram EcoDiesel models. It may also be suitable for other applications (but certainly not for the pre-18 Jeep EcoDiesel). I use it on my 16 Ram EcoDiesel. original (see below). Compared to the original design, it is said to better withstand pressure pinching and leakage around the mechanical seals. However, you must take the same precautions as the original filter: do not place the new filter in the shell - gently slide the filter onto the body tube and then screw the shell back into place. Don't expect a filter to last 30,000 miles if you use dirty fuel in your truck, and drain the tank regularly if you can't fix water pollution problems with the fuel you use in your truck. Mopar filters are overpriced no matter where you buy them. However, I don't know of any other filter with such a good water separator. In my opinion, $100-$200 over the life of a truck is cheap insurance against possible high pressure pump failure. If you are changing the filter yourself, consider purchasing an appropriate filter wrench, ratchet/extension and gallon ziplock bags. .
