Review on Ginger Deluxe Special Interchangeable Set for Knitting Enthusiasts by Kristen Simpson

I really like these needles. This is my first set of replacement needles and I love the quality of the needles and also the cords. The case is beautiful (and doesn't smell, which was a little alarming!) and the needles have a texture somewhere between bamboo and metal - woody but smooth! I've been using them for about three months now and I notice a few things: 1. I really don't recommend this for English style knitters. If you knit continental style, the needles will not unwind easily, but English style knitters have many more problems. This is a 4 inch set! I love shorter needles, but they're not for everyone. If you prefer longer needles, I recommend a blue case set.3. You'll probably need to order longer cables if you're into clothes like me. 4. The connection between wood and metal may be a little fragile. They're pretty strong, but after two and a half slips, my 4.5mm needle is starting to come out of the metal connection. Although this may be an accident - my other needles seem fine! My needle is also 4.5mm. bent? Not in wood, which I once expected but hasn't happened yet, but in a piece of metal, which was amazing. It's pretty easy to order a single replacement though, so I'm not too worried. Please apply some clear nail polish to the measurements before using the pins! The paint is peeling and the size can be a little hard to tell but the clear nail polish does it :) Anyway, overall I highly recommend these needles! The sizing set is perfect if you suddenly get a different yarn count than you are used to (haven't used my 12mm yet but they are so cute :D). They are fun to knit with and very pretty.
