Review on Elevate Your Comfort with the Microsoft πŸ’» Sculpt Ergonomic Wireless Desktop Keyboard and Mouse L5V-00001 by Jongil Baek ᠌

Medium quality, especially for that kind of money.

As an alternative to the Microsoft Natural 4000 keyboard, I decided to purchase this set instead. The keyboard has almost all of the benefits of the 4000 that are significant to me, but it does not have the drawbacks that are important to me, such as bulkiness and loud long-stroke keys. One distinct advantage of having a separate numpad is that it can be moved to the opposite side of the device (I type with my left hand), or removed entirely when it is not in use so that it does not cause any obstructions. Because the mouse is so well designed, even someone like me who naturally uses their left hand can use it with their right hand without any difficulty. It is not possible to register additional devices in the transceiver, unlike the Unifying transceivers sold by Logitech, so it can only communicate with the initial group of devices that were registered in it when it was first used. This limitation restricts the transceiver's compatibility. When two different transceivers from different Microsoft devices are installed in one computer, it appears that the radio frequencies they use will conflict with each other, and as a result, the computer will occasionally slow down. It is not possible to turn off the keyboard's display. You will need to either power down the computer or remove the batteries in order to clear the keys. The mouse that comes with the kit is extremely voracious; it can consume two AA batteries in approximately two to three months. The keyboard that was included in the package still has batteries installed, but I have replaced the battery in the mouse either three or four times already. Quite frequently, the first character that is typed does not make it to the computer. This could be because of the radio channel or it could be because of something else. After a couple of months, issues concerning the quality of the materials and the workmanship started to become more apparent: It looks like the rubber band is starting to come apart. At the same time, the gum is very difficult to remove because in its unstuck state it is longer than the seat, and simply pushing it back is not an easy task. Additionally, the "soft" parts, such as the palm pad on the keyboard and the side pads on the mouse, began to noticeably wipe off. Recently, that is, after approximately four months of operation, the edges of the palm rest cover began to crawl out. On the mouse, it generally began to fall off in pieces, and I just had to remove it. For devices that are not even close to the most affordable category, I believe that this is unacceptable. In general, I am pleased with the set; in fact, if it weren't for the issues that were discussed earlier, I would say that I am completely pleased with it.

Pros
  • A keyboard that is very comfortable and ergonomic. The keys are soft and quiet. Magnetic attachments for both the stand and the lids Mouse that is easy to use (for right-handers) Separate numpad
Cons
  • flimsy, "soft," low-quality materials and assembly There is no button to disable the keyboard. The transceiver does not support the connection of any additional devices. Keyboard radio brake Incapability to purchase a separate keyboard Extremely avaricious mouse
