Installation on my Ford Contour was easier than I thought. I just lifted a rear corner of my car and the spring was slightly exposed, only about a foot in the fender. The gap between the feathers easily accommodated these bagels. I put it in the bottom coils and then coiled it to the top of the support post. However, when I lowered the car back to the ground, it turned out that they were still loose in the spring; I couldn't move her, but I could move her! They certainly didn't add any noticeable height. This is definitely a feature of the feathers as they were definitely 2 inches tall. As for the ride, I can't tell if the improvements I'm feeling are real or imagined. I used to feel a very slight lateral sway on the freeway. like water splashing in a bathtub. A lot of people assumed it was the "bushings" but I replaced them all. It definitely seems more stable in that regard. As far as I can tell, the overall handling hasn't changed unless I actually load the suspension; then it seems to get stiff quickly. For example, there's a very tight turn on the ramp that I usually take in a fast clip. The car doesn't seem to roll as much as it used to. There are also some speed bumps that appear small. sharper than I remember. Sure, these devices were worth trying, but for my machine, the results weren't as impressive as I'd hoped.
