If you read the reviews you will see that some people choose to solder this. I bought it with full knowledge. The 3-star rating is because it is listed as an Insta plugin. If it really worked, they would use the word "instantly" in its entirety. At the same time, mine is soldered, and that's what I planned to do from the start.
