Review on Mishimoto MFANSWITCH MMFAN-SWITCH 80: Compatible Fan Switch for Civic, Integra, Accord, S2000 - Orange by David Butterfield

Recently bought this Mishimoto MMFAN-SWITCH as a replacement part. I recently had it installed by my mechanic after changing and adjusting the engine coolant, scheduled maintenance. defective after 6 days! On the way home one day when the temperature was 94 degrees (air conditioner on), the engine cooling fan stopped working completely and the temperature started to rise. Not wanting to risk a head gasket in a traffic jam, I stopped, called AAA, and had the car towed to be safe. My mechanic checked the entire cooling system. Circuits, fuses, relays, fans, etc. and low and lo and behold. It was a cheap "Made in China" Mishimoto MFANSWITCH Fan Switch 80! The same switch in our other Honda was "Made in Japan" and had been in the car for several years. Quality has clearly been compromised at Mishimoto. i will return this Rubbish for that money.
