Thoroughly researched and commissioned for viewing UHD programs and 4K home videos. I can't understand how much importance people place on the stand for this article. When properly installed, it's as durable (or better) than anything I've had before. Anyway, I never move my monitor because it's carefully positioned at eye level and at the right distance. I like the simple joystick controls on the back. much easier and more convenient than the buttons that always make me ponder. Very bright, very clear, but no wide viewing angle at all, which again I don't care unless I'm trying to show something to someone else, which I rarely do. I spend at least 10 hours every day on this computer and have decided that I deserve a nice big screen with good color reproduction and brightness. I'm just starting out with 4K film and super high quality photography (don't expect me to surprise you with the knowledge I have yet to acquire) and of course I need the best resolution I can afford. This is the one. Half cheaper than before, the quality is definitely better than I imagined. My configuration: Desktop: ASUS M32HD with GTX750Ti graphics, DisplayPort connection to this monitor. My problem manifested itself in the loss of the taskbar. I've read complaints here and ABOUT OTHER BRANDS OF MONITORS having the same problem. It seemed to me that the difficulty was with the Displayport cable that came with the kit. I ordered a better cable and connected the HDMI cable while waiting for it to arrive. Using HDMI 2.0 directly from the graphics card works great for everything I've tried with my G7 4K camera and worked great. positive awesome. I'll let you know what's up with the new DisplayPort cable. INFO 12/30/15: New DisplayPort cable did not fix any problems. I'm not convinced enough to order really expensive as suggested. It's possible that the problem is with the graphics card, but since everything else is working fine I won't be using the sleep option at all. It was just a habit because I can quickly press a button on my keyboard and go to sleep at night. Instead, I just turn things off. The HDMI 2.0 setting worked well but caused occasional jitter on plain windows. There are currently no further entries. happy new year Summary: Now, in mid-2018, I know that almost all of the struggles I've had with this monitor and dozens of other things have ALL been caused by bugs in Windows 10 and attempts to update them. The big updates left me with the biggest problems, some of which lasted for months, until another update suddenly fixed them. Nothing happened to the monitor, the graphics card upgrade or any cables.
