Review on ๐Ÿ”ง HATCHBOX 3D Filament: Ensuring Dimensional Accuracy in Additive Manufacturing by Jason Guzman

Excellent filament for 3D printing from Noob.

Love this filament so far and will probably use it more often. I'm totally new to 3D printing and besides the tiny spool that came with the Ender 3, I bought a couple of spools from Hatchbox based on reviews and reputation. As long as they live up to the advertisement! Viewed several videos from CHEP and Teaching Teach on YouTube on printer assembly, calibration and profile setup. Having chosen everything, I am very happy with the results (the strands of thread were my fault, they damaged the nozzle, so it will be replaced soon. Before that, there was no thread at all). The Kat was printed with all stock parts, no upgrades or modifications. I highly recommend this thread to anyone new to 3D printing to minimize the headache of identifying possible causes. I had no problems with the thread sticking to the bed, warping or shrinking. When this happened, it was because I had set something wrong on the printer. The blue color in the picture is wrong. In fact, it's a few shades darker. The material seems pretty strong but since PLA isn't meant to last forever I'll probably cover the parts with clear acrylic as moisture is still PLA's biggest enemy. However, with PLA, remember to store it in an airtight container, especially one with a divider to keep humidity levels as low as possible. If you hear a hiss or pops when you print, it means the filament has picked up moisture, and while oven drying this can be remedied, it's best to prevent this if you can. I would highly recommend this filament to anyone just starting out in 3D printing. As with anything new or new, make sure you do your research and troubleshoot before blaming a product.
