Fits perfectly on my 2008 Acura MDX hood. Would have given 5 stars but no instructions. Third-party instructions state to "remove" the black clips from the lift legs. While removing the old one from my machine worked, removing it completely from the new one could be disastrous. It may be common knowledge but I didn't know about it so the instructions accompanying the product would be nice. Therefore, DO NOT REMOVE the black clip completely. Simply pry it up slightly with a flat head screwdriver, remove the old lifter and slide the new one onto the ball mount. Super easy to install once you know how. Also the elevators are very hard. In the end only one of the two was replaced. Installing two new ones made it very difficult to push and close the hood. Maybe raising and lowering the hood a few times will loosen them up a bit. Overall I would recommend this item.
