I looked at the specifications and reviews of all A3 large format scanners for a small amount. After visiting the Viisan website and looking at the Viisan VF3240, I found that it offers many more professional features than other similarly priced scanners. That's why I bought it. Installation and setup was very easy. The scanning software is also easy to use and has every imaginable function. Scanning is fast enough, resolution setting is excellent, and I can't see an image at 2400 dpi, but it's there. Color reproduction without adjustments is good, but there are adjustments for color, tone curves and brightness if needed. I haven't tried all the features, but they offer color restoration, cleaning, sharpening, dust removal, edge restoration, and more. It even allows me to put multiple photos on the glass, preview, select, straighten, and scan them all into separate files at once. So far this scanner is amazing for the price. quality and then something. I'll update this review once I've tested all the features. I've been using the scanner for a week now and I'm very happy with it. One amazing feature is edge restoration. The program fills in the missing or damaged edges of the scanned item.
