I bought this on impulse because I was intrigued by the idea that sumi ink could be portable. God I'm so in love with this thing. All packaging is in Japanese, so you'll have to figure out how to use it yourself. It's basically like a fountain pen with a brush instead of a nib - you unscrew it and remove the ring, then screw it back on, which opens up the ink chamber. GENTLY press some ink onto the brush until you see the bristles change from white to black, but not quite, or I suspect you'll end up with a mess. I'm amazed at the control the brush offers, from very thick lines to incredibly thin lines with just a flick of the wrist. Gesture drawings are as simple as more detailed works. My only complaint is how long it took to arrive, seriously almost a month so don't order it here if you need it in a hurry.
