I hated the little bits of tea leaves left in my cup from my previous diffuser so I specifically looked for something with a very fine mesh that would prevent this. This fully meets all requirements. It doesn't show up very well in the photos so I relied on reviews to find out that there is an extra layer of mesh lining on the inside. They should promote it more because it's the best feature in my opinion! BENEFITS • Super thin mesh lining keeps stray leaves out • Good size for standard and tall mugs • Easy to clean - I just give a good rinse after each use • Didn't think I'd need a lid but it comes in handy Minimizes the heat -/Steam lid during brewing. If you need a place to put your used diffuser on the table after use, it also works as a coaster for it. • Double handles make handling easier • Another plug for extra fine stitches! CONS • It gets hot because it's all metal. You really have to grab the handles at the very ends.
