Update #2 (11/13/2021): Turns out I had bad blocking and so I was finicky about blocking by holding the tick button for 3 seconds. The seller responded very quickly to my dissatisfaction and sent a replacement. I just installed it and checked everything, it locks perfectly by pressing this button for 3 seconds. I'm changing my rating to 4 stars because I appreciate the seller working with you to offer a solution and send a working replacement. All that really needs to be worked on are the user manual issues I talked about in my previous update. Update: The instructions are not clear and detailed enough when it comes to troubleshooting and knowing exactly how to go about unlocking them. Just press the check mark button and hold it for 3 seconds. I only blocked it once for myself using this method. On every other attempt it just did nothing or locked and unlocked followed by a short beep. The manual says nothing about it and what to do. I'm awaiting a response from the seller, but if the solution provided isn't workable I'll send it back for a refund and get another one. I was a little skeptical about purchasing it as it only had two reviews, but decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. I'm glad I did everything that was said in the reviews and product description videos, installation was easy. Luckily my original deadbolt was a standard size which meant I didn't have to adjust anything to make the lock fit. It really is a true plug and play test. The ONLY issue I had was that my original bolt mounting plate (which is part of the build) had curved edges while this lock had a rectangle. Since I didn't have a suitable cutting tool at the time, I used an angle grinder to round off the corners of the striking plate. Problem solved. The kit comes with two guides (one quick guide, the other comprehensive) and both are very easy to use, two RFID cards, two keys, a bag of screws and an extra bag of screws. The lock was installed without any problems, everything clicked perfectly. Connecting the app to the lock was painless and everything was easy. It's also nice to know that you can email the company and get a quick response if you run into any issues. The only problem I had was that the first time I tested the app it got blocked and then unblocked again. I tried again and he did the same. So I unlocked the app first and then tried to lock it. This time everything worked as it should. I tested it a few more times and after that I had no locking/unlocking issues. I'm not sure how well the display will hold up to almost continuous direct sunlight throughout the day, but I'm hoping it will last quite a long time without any fading or distortion issues. The time will show. Until then, I'm very happy with this lock and if you're looking for a good smart lock that's not expensive, you can't go wrong with this one.
