I put this heater in my 250 gallons of fresh water. tank, and within 4 days the heating element was badly rusted to the point of cracking. It contaminated my aquaponic system and I had to flush the tank and six 100 gallon planters for several days to get the rust out of the water. This caused my fish to get into trouble and killed 10 of them. It took the fish over a month to recover and my plants were infected too. I messaged the seller but didn't get a response so I contacted Revain to complain. Do not buy this product, there are better ones that will not rust or kill your fish.
