Easy Installation: Spare Parts

Before deciding on this particular dampener I read many reviews and noticed that some of them put more effort than necessary into the installation including removing the batteries. the intake pipe was connected to the air filter box and I have an 05 diesel. I loosened the lower shock bolt on the passenger side, using some extensions loosened the 2 internal bolts on the shock absorber, pulled through the tire and loosened the 3rd. Then you took them all off, lifted the turret and damper together, put the new damper on the turret and reinserted it. Align the bottom bolt and hand tighten well, then press down on the shock and strut and replace and tighten the three shock bolts, then tighten everything. . Everything went well and took less than an hour. But I mostly had help with aligning the lower bolts. Don't let this work overwhelm you, it was very easy. The ride is much nicer than what was on them by what looked OEM, but after 144,000 miles I didn't expect the original OEM to still be there. I will be towing a TravelTrailer with a truck soon and will update as needed. The back panels have arrived and I will be installing them soon.

Pros
  • Excellent Construction
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
