Review on πŸ“Š DROK 180038 Digital Voltage and Temperature Monitor: Car Motorcycle Battery Voltmeter Thermometer Detector by Mason Gordon

Useful item for the money

My 6 year old BMW's battery is already being charged and instead of buying a new battery to replace the existing one as I haven't had any problems with it so far, I started checking the voltage rest and check the charging voltage with a multimeter and test leads. This effort is a little excruciating, so for $12 I decided to buy this little guy and give it a try. I have to say I'm very happy with it so far as my 6 year old 810 CCA battery is still in very good condition. This little sensor allows me to see the charge voltage when the engine is running, as well as the open circuit voltage when the car has sat overnight or longer. Cars these days just have crazy lights to let the driver know there's a problem. I prefer sensors so I can monitor battery health, oil temp, etc. The voltage readings appear to be very accurate. The temperature function seems a bit too high, but it is not intended for me. I am very happy with this purchase so far. I have power connections in the BMW that stay on for 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off, but really turn off after 10 minutes so it doesn't draw much power from the battery after getting out of the car. Many power connections are designed this way. The only way to test the power connection is to turn off the ignition and see if the LED on the meter goes out. I have 4 outlets in my car. At least 2 ports have expired. I bought this item from Revain. Free shipping excluding taxes and it got to my house in 2 days.
