It took me several hours to set up, then several months to connect to the phone. Surely there are better alternatives at a similar price. Here are the tricks that helped me. It's probably obvious if you can read the documentation. - The robot is a Wi-Fi hotspot. - The robot comes with a CD containing the APK needed to connect to the robot. If you download it from Google Play or elsewhere, you'll most likely get one that works with the platform but not the robot, meaning you'll see the webcam output but won't be able to drive the vehicle. Use the APK from the DVD. Additional Notes: I was missing the plastic fasteners, I had a lot of extras but was missing a few that I needed. I bought a set of cheap universal mounting hardware and it worked. It's hard to see the wheel connectors on the video, but I used the visual markers on the motors to figure out which wire is which, and I got it right on the first try.
