The ONLY way to loosen a stuck union nut

So there was something obscene. I bought a 20 year old SUV for an off road project in August. I've been slowly updating parts and the end is finally near. I got hold of some stainless steel flex brake hoses and sat on them for a couple of weeks while I worked up the courage to get to work. Starting with the driver's side. The box wrench failed first, stretching and then slipping, rounding the corners of the hexagon. kissing followed. I sprayed generously with PB Blaster, waited a day and tried again, this time with a box wrench. That also slipped. I pulled the burner out and heated it up a few times, extinguished the PBB and tapped the fitting with a hammer and punch. There is no joy. Then I took a regular vise and tried again. Still no joy. I moved to another corner of the SUV and tried my luck. I loosened 4 out of 7 of my fittings using the various methods above. I was about to give up, cut the hard lines and re-flash when I saw this in a dark corner of the internet. I bought them and had them delivered the next day with Prime. They are smaller than I thought and I doubted their effectiveness when playing around with them. And then I went to the garage to get it working. I immediately pulled off all three hopelessly stuck torch nuts. No slipping, no drama, no damaged cap nuts. Then I cursed I didn't have a pair on hand to start with. At $8 they are a bargain and in my case the only way to get the job done.
