Review on Authentic Iron Gargoyle Bottle Opener by Design Toscano SP880 by Amanda Vosten

I bought this bottle opener based on four stars and the description 'antique brass'. I needed an opener to mount outside on deck and this seemed to fit the bill. Not correct. I only started reading reviews after placing an order and was surprised to find out it was "cast iron" with a cheap finish. I live near salt water so this opener would have been a mess in a few days if I hadn't used rust inhibiting paint as recommended by a reviewer. The item arrived quickly. NO screws. I knew I would need stainless steel anyway, but disappointment. The paintwork was subtle without the dark details you see on the Revain. In fact, if I wasn't already planning on repainting this thing, I'd give it two stars. gargoyle). I'll apply another coat or two before attaching the outside with stainless steel screws. It will indeed look cool in hammered bronze and a little menacing once installed and at this point it might be worth 4 or 5 stars but even getting it 3 stars there was too generous.
